This Australian Pelican (Pelicanus conspicillatus) was preening on the beach when I first arrived at this small island. I didn't notice until I looked at the images that it was carrying and tossing this feather out onto the water. I guess it was special.

What a beautiful frame, Greg! Perfect timing for the feather play, and I love everything about the image. Well done!

A beautiful image, Greg; wonderful blue colours, plus the feather flip is certainly unique.
