Least tern - Head on, flaps up...

A least tern flies straight towards me at sunrise. 

Terns have a long wingspan compared to their body length, coupled with their light body helps them glide for long distances during migration. This saves energy. An arctic tern is known to eat and sleep while gliding during its very long migration.
