This is a continuation of warbler shots taken this May 2021.  Although I have posted a few Blackburnian's previously I never tire of how striking they appear close up.  This one was taken near the top third of a very large Hemlock tree, the key being that I was at one of my favorite overlooks where they typically breed and therefore have the ability to see them at approximately eye level.

A wonderful close-up, of one of the most beautiful warbler species, Warren. The slight tilting of his head, adds a very nice effect to the
image. A good portrayal , of the Blackburnian's habitat, as well.

One of the most colorful and nicely patterned Warbler species, that is. Excellent image. In good old days we sometimes had 5-7 species of Warblers at our campsite and then twenty plus at Point Peele. It is history now.

One of my favorite (nemesis) warblers. A beautiful pose and how lovely to see him in all his glory. We have had a poor warbler season here, sadly.

Oh! this is a real beauty, Warren!  I love the pose and the almost 3D effect with the warbler about to pop out of the screen!

I for one can attest it's been a "poor" warbler season in the Northeast. I feel fortunate that I was able to get some of the shots I was able to obtain this Spring. May 2022 is "only" about 47 weeks away !!
