Taken a few years ago in mid Wales..  Nikon D3 and 300 f2.8.  Bg is a layer of snow, woods, and sky.  The stump is part of a natural hedge, between a few fields on a high hillside.

You sure know how to pick out those perches for your owl images. This is a beauty, and the owl fits perfectly into the layered background. Very nice !
