Canon 80D

ISO 400

Spring and summer resident, winters in South America.

They usually perch on a fence post or the barbed wire ,
rather than in a tree, as this one did. I would have been
more satisfied if he had turned towards me or sang,
but sometimes the birds don't always cooperate, as we all know!

A nice profile view of the Bobolink with good exposure and detail, Paul. A head turn would be nice, as you note, but the beautiful background makes up for its absence.

Bobolinks are very interesting birds from their plumage to their song. I don't believe I've ever seen one perched on a pine tree as they are usually in meadows. Nice exposure on a mostly black and white bird.
