I had initially gone to a certain part of the beach to try to find a reddish egret. Unfortunately, there were none. I did see this heron fishing in a shaded area and wanted to experiment with making a few high key images. I am interested in your all's opinions about this image.

A well-composed and beautiful high key image, John. You have isolated the heron well and simplified the surroundings with this style of presentation. White on white is not easy, so you have done well.

Love the high key photo. Nicely exposed.

Hi-key isn't really my thing, but you have maintained excellent detail and exposure on the heron in this minimalist setting - and presented the image beautifully, John!

A wonderful image, John, with a " dream-like" quality to it . A different type of photograph, and so well composed !

Good high-key image, with the only different colour in the bill and lores it really stands out. Although taken in shade in which the light is blue, I wonder if reducing the blue cast a bit might add impact? And a bit of an angle towards us with the bird would help too.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely give it a try.
