Nikon D3X, Nikon 300mm F2.8
ISO400, 1/1000s, F5.6 This is a male American Redstart (Warbler) in it's striking Spring breeding plumage taken a few years ago at the edge of a parking lot where I worked at that time. They are an energetic little bird that seems constantly in motion pumping it's tail and flitting about. They're preferred habitat is in the secondary growth saplings at the edges of woods.
