Baltimore Oriole (m)
Icterus galbula

Kind of a busy BG, but I was struck how this strongly colored male contrasted w/ the almost B&W surroundings

I have always admired the Baltimore Oriole for its striking color and markings which you have captured beautifully in this image, Craig!

A splendid example of a top notch Baltimore Oriole. His colors show off beautifully against the muted colors of the background. Nice look back pose as well.

An excellent image, Craig, of certainly a favourite species to photograph or just observe. The black look so good in your photo, and contrasts
very well with the orange. ( A Michigan location, perhaps ? ).

This works so well with the neutral BG, the colour on the oriole is so pretty! Lovely details too!

Yes, he pops beautifully from the background - and such vibrant colours.
