Even at Point Peele if word gets around that there is a Cerulean Warbler in the Park everybody rushes there as it has become so rare in recent years.
This warbler was found in Hamilton along the Lakeshore. We rushed there today and got to the spot where it was visible for about twenty minutes. It moves around fast just like any Warbler and is a challenge to find it in the clear Every time it moved to the clear, it was turning away from us. But I'm happy just to have seen one.

This is a great image, Karl, as it is very uncommon, in our Province of Ontario, as you state. To see one is special, but to take a good
photograph, certainly adds greatly to the experience.( I was surprised somewhat that a Cerulian would be here this early in May,
as I understand that they do not generally arrive until later ). Anyway, I'm sure that this will be a very memorable photo for you!

I’m pleased you got to see this rarity to the area. Beautiful light and color, Karl, and under the circumstances I feel you did extremely well.

From experience I know that they are a tough one to get. You did well to get this image as they are almost always very high in the canopy. It looks as though this is a really nice male specimen as the blue is really rich.  Very nice and well done under the circumstances. The budding tree also adds a nice touch of color and adds to the time of the year.
