Canon 90D
Tamron 150-600mm @ 273mm
f8@ 1/1000
ISO 500

Kinglets are an early spring migrant, and this individual
paused for a second, in a maple tree with some newly
emerging leaves, after the long winter.

A tripod was used for this image, however I generally
prefer hand held , as it is not as difficult to track
fast moving species like Kinglets, compared to the former method.

Province of Ontario, Canada, image.

A beautiful image, Paul. The details and colors in this are fantastic. I could only imagine how difficult it is to photograph these small birds that are always darting around. Great work.

Wonderful capturing such a sweet pose! I'm hoping that these little ones will be back around here again soon!

Good job catching it in the 1/1000 second it sat still, lol. Love the background - totally non-distracting, yet immediately recognizable.
