Trumpeter Swan

I was able to watch about eight of these swans the other morning while they stayed in a quiet bay on one of the local lakes. It was cold, grey, drizzly and very muddy, but so much fun!

I absolutely love this image, Amy! The pose and detail in the swan is captured superbly, while the composition with inclusion of the habitat in the soft light provides a beautiful background which complements the scene perfectly. This would make a gorgeous print!

Beautifully composed. Sometimes those grey lousy days make for some of the best images. You did a great job with the exposure and holding the details of the swan.
