This male Blackburnian was taken during early Spring migration two years ago. He was the first one of its kind that I saw that year as he seemed to have arrived with a wave of Yellow-rumped Warblers.

I've previously posted a couple of other images of Blackburnian's. However, this one clearly shows the orange throat which makes them among the most striking and sought after by birders in my area.

Beautiful beautifully colored specimen.
I really like the atmosphere so neutral and homogeneous that makes the subject and its colors stand out in the best possible way.

Brilliant image Warren. That colour stands out so well against the greys.
Make your life spectacular!
