This image shows that the female is not interested of the leftover at all. The male dropped it off and went fishing again. Unfortunately for them I haven't seen any Brown Trout brought in  last year and this year could be the same.

I think that you must have the monopoly on osprey behavior images, Karl! There all so interesting, and done so very well.
