A week ago my wife and I went to visit my son in a suburb of Boston for Easter weekend. I brought my camera and a couple of short lenses to take some photos of two of my young grandsons ages 3 and 1.  When I arrived, my son told me about a group of turkeys in the neighborhood and that the two "big ones" (he's not a birder !) were showing aggression to young children including my 3 year old grandson.

Early the next morning I took a walk around the block and found the flock including the two Tom's who were strutting their stuff for the females.  I did my best to isolate them between two houses and against a pleasing background.  I was amazed at how "tolerant" they were as opposed to the ones I'm more familiar with that run away from 100 yards.

Moral of story....I'm bringing my telephoto on all future trips.

Great image of the two posing. The background turned out to be nice as well.
