The hummingbirds usually feed in the evening,
( other times of the day as well ), up until it starts to
become dark, although the light is generally not the
best, as darkness begins, for photos.
This individual was perched for a short time with still
some available light, so I took an image or two,
just to try something different.
Certainly, hummingbird photos in proper light
showing their bright colours, and images of them in
flight, or at flowers, have the greatest appeal,
but perhaps some viewers might enjoy this type of
bird photography, as well.

Image taken in late August- Province of Ontario, Canada.

Yes, I really like this different shot. A perfect shadow that turns the tips of the wings into fire.

Paul, a lovely silhouette on a beautiful rose-colored background. The light passing through the red wing tip is a treat.

Very nice silhouette of a stretching hummingbird. A nice interesting departure from most hummingbird images.
