Nikon D810, Nikon 300 f2.8
ISO 400, 1/2000s, F 7.1, Blind This is a male Virginia Rail searching for food, in the early Spring on it's territory. I was not looking to photograph Rails on this day, but attempting to shoot an American Bittern that had also established a territory at this marsh. The Rail was a welcome addition. They are a secretive little marsh bird that are really quick at scooting back into the reeds at the least sign of danger. Please click for higher resolution. |
