Heard my first of the season drumming of the Pileated Woodpecker today.  I thought I'd send along an image of good things to come from one of my favorite birds and a real treat every time I get a good look at one. This image is of two male juveniles out of a total of four (three males and one female) which fledged a few days after this shot was taken. In this image, they're waiting for one of their parent's to bring them a good meal.

This is such an interesting and unique photo, so well done in all aspects! A good image of a Pileated Woodpecker, is always special;
having a pair, adds so much to the overall appeal.
( I sent a message back regarding the Coopers' hawk photo, not sure if it went through or not.
Perhaps you could let me know if it was received? Thanks.

Super shot Warren. Excellent and interesting image. Good as mentioned, to get both in the frame.

Very nice moment captured here, you can sense their anticipation. Side light is nice here to darken the side they are looking.
