Nikon D810, Nikon 300mm F2.8+1.4 TC
ISO 400, 1/640s, F6.3, Tripod Heard my first of the season drumming of the Pileated Woodpecker today. I thought I'd send along an image of good things to come from one of my favorite birds and a real treat every time I get a good look at one. This image is of two male juveniles out of a total of four (three males and one female) which fledged a few days after this shot was taken. In this image, they're waiting for one of their parent's to bring them a good meal. Please click for higher resolution.
