This is a female Common Redpoll which was taken a couple of years ago on the same day as my post of the male from yesterday. This "prop" was set up primarily for Evening Grosbeaks near a bird feeder, but was visited frequently by the Redpolls as well. I wish this image of the female was a male in this pose, but you have to take the opportunity presented.

Another beautiful image to complete the duo, Warren! The pose is a delight and complements the lines of the perch, with the lines of her head matching the main part of the perch, and her tail matching the lines of the smaller part behind. The two images would make a wonderful pair of prints to adorn any wall, with their gorgeous colours and exquisite detail. Beautiful work!

Agree with the thought of a print of both hung together. Beautiful work, Warren!

Sweet image of a sweet bird. We still have at least two in our backyard but they will leave any day now.
