 ISO 500, 1/800s, F 5.6, Tripod As Winter is now slipping away I thought I'd post a Common Redpoll in very cold conditions from two years ago. My thumb was in a cast from surgery and a good friend set up a blind next to his painting studio where he has bird feeders outside of Cooperstown NY. He set up my tripod and I borrowed his lens which was more manageable than my heavier version. As he sat in his warm studio painting he would occasionally tap the window and blow into his hands as if he were cold while I was out shooting at -2%. Good to have friends !!
