THIS ONE IS FROM THAT SAME SNOW SQUALL DAY, YOU ARE SEEING WHAT THE LENS SAW ON THAT DAY WHEN THIS IMAGE WAS TAKEN, JUST TO MENTION THAT THE SUN WAS COMPLETLY OUT,  THAT IS WHY I WAS GETTING THIS HIGH SPEED.

Wow....its hard to tell the sun was out in this image. The way his eyes are half closed is evidence of how hard the wind was blowing the snow into his face. Very well done showing harsh conditions.

This really shows the harsh conditions this bird is facing. I think this is most effective one yet to illustrate the idea, with the wings back, bird leaning into the wind, and eyes squinted.

I really do admire your determination in turning out on such a wild winter's day to get these images, Peter! I would definitely have stayed indoors in these conditions!

Another great behavioral image to add to this series, Peter. The high wind and blowing snow coupled with the lark’s forward leaning pose tell the story well. Excellent.
