Outstanding image Peter. Love the space, the framing and pastel colours. The red on the Redpoll stands out superbly.

Oh! This is so beautiful, Peter! A must click to get the full effect of this delicate, painterly image with the wonderful little redpoll and its lovely colours swaying on the slender perch. Love it! This would make a fantastic note card.

The out-of-focus vegetation and the dreamy looking background form the perfect backdrop for this excellent Redpoll image, Peter! Top-notch image!

A very striking image, Peter. The way in which the redpoll is clinging to the delicate stem, and the subtle background, certainly
make for a unique photo.

I really like the ethereal lighting and textures in the background setting. Great feel to the over all image. I do wonder if this a big crop Peter, details on the bird seem unusual to my eye on my particular monitor.

I was away for a few days and didn't get to comment on this very nice common redpoll. It has a wonderful feeling of a painting.  I very much like the way the weight of the bird bends but doesn't break the weed plant from which it is dependent for food.  Terrific composition as well as appropriate DOF for the overall look of the image.  Congrats on well deserved EP.
