Just a mallard-there were about 50 ducks in a fast-moving, icy local river. This one had a glance back at me while swimming away in the fast current. I'm always amazed that these ducks live in such cold conditions and can "smile" about ...or at least quack loudly! please view full frame.

Gorgeous light quality Cindy. Looks like you have been tagged but with a smile. Excellent details held at that ISO. Nicely done.

Excellent low-angle sidelight. Its warmth beautifully illuminates this lovely lady. Although she is swimming away, the glance back you captured is wonderful. Well done, Cindy!

Nice view of this sweet female, and she certainly has an eye on you, Cindy! I have a lot of respect for these mallard females, and they are often overlooked in favour of the more colourful ones.

I love this shot Cynthia, it take me to that wonderful environment that is reflected with a beautiful light on the subject,
illuminating every detail. The color and movement of the water make me imagine I smell the cold (which I love).
