Fading into the sun

This photo was taken near Homer. Thank you to Alan Murphy for this opportunity. It was one of the toughest photos to take. To avoid looking at the sun with 300 f/2.8 attached to the camera, I had to improvise to use the LCD screen away from the eye. Canon 5D Mark III doesn't have tilting LCD, so it was almost a blind shooting, anticipating and hoping that the eagle flies into the shot. I got lucky, I guess.
