His a nice looking Duck but having black and white in the body, it is difficult to get it right. Fortunately in this instant the light was coming from the back, preserving the detail in the white at the front.

Lovely light and color and sharpness Karl. I'm amazed at the number of duck images you come up with, who knew Ontario was so rich in waterfowl. I personally find positioning ducks on water like this incredibly challenging on where to position them exactly in the frame. Your choice here is complementary.
