Bufflehead ducks are a really beautiful little duck that are very difficult to hold their whites and still get their head iridescence.  You did a great job getting both and also getting him in such a great position moving towards you while pushing water along the way.  Very well done on a difficult subject.

Dan, excellent head-on approach shot. Love the iridescence and the bow wave. Beautifully done!

As mentioned, very impressive job capturing this level of color in that challenging head area, wow. Love the reflections too, doubles the enjoyment.

Couldn't be sweeter, Dan! Excellent on all counts and pushing his own little bow wave!

A beautiful frontal perspective, very nice attitude of the duck and
I really like the effect created by the thrust of the legs on the water.
