Northern Saw-whet Owl

Here is a shot of a Northern Saw-whet Owl that I recently photographed. I have photos of them during the day but have always wanted a shot like this of them at night. I kind of feel like predators are best photographed when they are busy being predators and not trying to sleep. Like I would not want to go to Africa and photograph a sleeping lion  :)

SB-5000 flash set to 1/64th power in manual mode

Terrific looking shot Isaac. I have several good shots of Saw-whets from my film days but not from my time with digital. This is a real beauty and your use of flash in this shot is superb. Very well done.
