Stunningly beautiful image, Diana! I love the little hummer, and that background is quite magical. Well done!

Super pose and detail, and I love the design in the background. Are the little buds supposed to be drooping? Beautiful image!

I don’t know what the bush is but all of the buds droop like that!
Thank you both for your kind words! To me the pine/cedar trees created an unusual background for a hummingbird photo!

The out of focus pine needles make for a great background in this specific shot. I sometimes find them a bit distracting but in this image they definitely add to an already terrific shot of the hummingbird. Very nice.

I agree, Ron. And, to comment on the buds/flowers, I believe that is milkweed, so yes, that is how they grow.

This is a really nice image. As nice as the bird and the perch are, the background is even better amd makes the image for me. Great job

I find this image definitely superlative.
The details are incredibly , I love all these shades of green,
the background creates an idyllic atmosphere and the pose of the subject? What can I say: super.
