Joel - I need to come and visit. Haven't had an opportunity to photograph a Northern Flicker. Great shot, detail and b/g.

The pose is really striking...very regal looking. The background fits the Flicker very well. A beautiful image.

That would be fun .... you might be a bit disappointed as Kentucky can't compare to Florida in terms of bird photography opportunities !

I do have a great spot for Woodpeckers however.
