This was taken in Hokkaido.  The Marsh Tits and Long-tailed Tits were taking turns nibbling the tip of this icicle.

Absolutely fantastic photo. I love everything about this and think it is one of the very best and unique photos I have seen on Naturescapes in a really long time.

A beautiful behavioral shot should be clicked on to be fully appreciated. Great job of seeing and then anticipating the action to get this terrific image.

Thanks so much for all the comments. These tiny birds taking turns nibbling the tip of this icicle was an amazing sight! Well worth the misery of the horrendous cold.
This morning our air quality is greatly improved. Photography this weekend? Maybe!
