While riding down a cow pasture in central Florida, I saw this Nightjar in broad daylight sitting on a fencepost alongside the road. Very, very unusual. Sat there patiently while I took his photograph from the car.

Sometimes luck is on your side. It also helps if you are ready when the situation presents itself. Looks like tough light but a very nice shot of an interesting subject under the circumstances.
