Due to the bushfires earlier this year, some of these birds have been showing up way outside their normal range. Three of them right at a local park! Normally these birds are very hard to photograph, but the park had only low trees and so I could position myself well at a tree with exposed branches and a male actually landed right in front of me :) It's not often that they show their tail feathers off like that.

Eye candy ! And great species appeal too.

If this was in Melbourne, that's an amazing wander for the species.

A true work of art. Perfect back pose with look back, perfect background and perch. Excellent image quality. Easily the best shot posted here in quite some time.

It was Mike, so way out of the normal range due to the fires.
