Shot from a viewing platform in the marsh. The open area shrunk to about four meters diameter. As the vegetation is growing in, it'll be zero in a year or two. It is sad in a way as many parents bring their children to show them the Painted Turtles and Water Snakes as they busk in the sun.

A shame if they put in viewing platforms but don't bother to manage the area any better than that, Karl! A nice image of this rail making the best of the shrinking open space....

Karl, Nice image. It looks like cattails and they spread through rhizomes--roots. They're easy to control, too bad nothing is done about them because they will completely take over.

Karl, a beautifully presented image from the platform. Great detail and raised-foot pose.
