When you see a bird fluffed up like this, it is a sign of distress caused by infection or starvation. He did not go to the feeder all day just sit in this bush and then disappeared late night.

These little birds are so vulnerable to feeder infections, and not everyone knows about wildlife or bothers to keep their feeders clean. Such a shame whatever it was - a little beauty, Karl.
