Aplomado Falcon
Falco femoralis
3.19.2020Mustang Island S.P. Nueces Co, TX Pulling out of the campground the day before, I thought I saw a Peregrine fly off a power line pole, but we couldn't relocate it. This day, as we were pulling out, I again saw a falcon; it turned out to be an Aplomado! I've seen one once before, on a hacking tower several hundred yards away. I got IDable shots of this guy on the wire, but when it took off it flew by a little closer; this is still a pretty serious crop. 5DIV 100-400 4.5-5.6 II 1/3200a, f/8, iso 800 Handheld, natural light Comments and suggestions always welcome |
