This was a tricky shot too, due to the fog in the background. Still happy I got the full bird in focus.
It gets the name openbill due to the fact that even though the tip of it's upper and lower bill touch each other, there's still a gap in between.

I am an aspiring computer engineer and a passionate photographer.
I make all the photos using canon powershot SX50 HS.

Did well with the tough lighting !!! Like how you framed the image and also the perfect head position !!! I think you might be able to selectively open the white areas, particularly around the head !!! Like it a lot !!

What a unique stork with the "open bill" feature, Prathmesh. Nice sharp detail on all of the stork, and I like the patches of illumination on the side of the body and head. Nice shot.
