The Northern Hawk Owl captured a Vole right in front of us.
Luckily it turned towards us. When he captured the second Vole about three hours later, it turned away from us. Both Voles were carried to one of his stash trees. He captured two between 10:45 and 3:00 PM and probably more before we arrived. Sometimes he captures a Mourning Dove as well. Nikon D500 Nikon 300 f 4.0 PF +1.4x III. ISO 800 1/2500 s f 7.1 |
