It's been forever since I have posted on here.
Crowned Crane, Maasai Mara March 2019.
Canon 1DX, 400mm f/2.8 @ f/4, 1/640sec, Iso 100

Lovely BG and I like your choice of crop.
Whites look good but blacks a bit blocked. Light was rather harsh which makes it difficult to expose for the whites and the blacks.
Why ISO 100 and F4? Would have been better to be at F7.1 or 8 and ISO 800 and a bit more shutter speed and DOF.

Neil, a lovely portrait set off beautifully by the excellent background. I like the detail, particularly in the cranes top-notch. Very nice shot.

Neil, Good one.  On my monitor, it looks like exposure could be just a tad lower.  You could probably selectively get better details from the blacks.
