Lovely profile, razor sharp and great detail on the black feathers while keeping good highlights!! Congrats !!

A superb portrait, Debapratim. I'm struck by the extraordinary exposure of the blacks. And, in large view, the detail is excellent. The red on the upper bill is the perfect finishing touch. Very, very nice.

I love mergansers and their colouring with dark green head is not easy to expose correctly, especially in bright light.  The softer light helped here, but that takes nothing away from the fact that this is a gorgeous portrait of a handsome drake.  Beautifully done, Debapratim!
