This was taken a few years ago on a great trip to Costa Rica with friends and NS members Doug Brown and Greg Basco.
Although we did some fun multi-flash photography for the hummers, this one was captured hand held and in natural light while I was walking around the grounds of the lodge we were staying at.
The background was a big bush with pink and red flowers all over it.
I thought my arms were going to fall off hand holding the 600mm lens as I was trying to capture these erratic little flyers.
One of my favorites of the trip. Hope you like it.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input.  I appreciate it.

You could never set up a Hummingbird shot as nice as this.
Pose is wicked sharp as well and I much prefer natural light
for any bird photo.

Outstanding shot. Like the pose and BG. Trust the pain of handholding was worth it.

Thanks again everyone!!

Dan,

Yes, I was going to mention that I am printing this image in a 24"X24" acrylic face mount for my home.
Should look great.

Thanks again
