The vulture like bald head gives the bird an ugly look. This bird has been categorized to be a " Near Threatened " species by IUCN.

Nikon gears used.

D500, 300 mm / 2.8, 1.4X Teleconverter

At focal length 420 mm.

An excellent incoming pose, Biru. Love the backlight penetrating the wings and tail. Very nice image.

Just a great flight pose and the shallow dof makes the white bird pop very well.

The beautiful backlight on the spread wings turns this ugly duckling into a swan, Biru!  (Well, it turns it into a lovely image of a black headed ibis). :)
