Sometimes your target bird hops up onto a nice clean branch with no background distractions - Today this Winter Wren did just that. Taken earlier today on a trail in Burlington, Ontario

Equipment: Canon 5D Mk4 with an Canon EF500 Mk2 and a Canon 1.4 TC Mk3 - on a tripod

ISO800 - f5.6 - 1/320

A very simple, but elegant image of a hard-to-photograph species.

For the species this is an extraordinary image. I photographed this species just this morning, but mine are way messier.

What's the background?
