This male Lawrence's Goldfinch was one of about twenty birds that overwintered in my yard in Southern California.

Canon 7D MarkII, Canon 600mm f4, IS II, Canon 600EX II-RT for fill flash.

I’m struck by the beauty of the Goldfinch and how it is complemented by the lovely background. Beautiful lighting as well.
