Very nice image, Jake. I like the raised crest and, of course, the prey item. If it were mine, I would attempt to recover some of the detail in the whites, if possible. The water droplets in the air are awesome.

Jake, Like the image, it has everything--good comp, eye contact, background, etc. It's been my experience photographing Kingfishers that you have to slightly underexpose the image, or the whites will be blown--sometimes underexposer up to -.7. It's a very difficult bird to get the exposure right.
