D850, 500 f/5.6, 1/800, f/5.6, ISO 3200 (Dark morning)
Winter is upon us, and the Juncos are fairly abundant. I love their two tones-they can blend with snow on the ground and dark cover above. Unfortunately (for them), they seem to be most commonly attacked in our yard, generally by a Cooper's or Sharpie. Or...an feral cat. They seem to hold their own even so. Please view full frame.
