I like the golden color of the female. Background is the somewhat distant rusty retaining wall of the Ship Canal.

Impeccable detail in large view, Karl. Great banking pose and topside view. Excellent.

Wonderful detail of the colour and markings on this female, Karl. The complementary colour of the rusty old wall makes the perfect background. As good as it gets for both the male and female LTD. Beautifully done!

This is a dream duck for me , only one year 2014 a single Long-tailed duck came in India and I missed it. Outstanding shot.

Thank you Himadri.
I'm lucky I guess to have lived close to Burlington Ship Canal where they gather this time of the year to feed on Zebra Mussels.
When a ship comes, thousands of Ducks take the air and fly out.
When they start flying back in small groups to the Ship Canal, then you can take BIF shots of them.
They are super fast and small.

Another stunning shot, Karl. Excellent warm tones in this flight shot-rusty bg is perfect for this. Love the wing details.
