Musk Duck - Victoria, Australia
a7R4, 100-400mm + 1.4x @560mm, ISO 500, f/10, 1/400s
I just reduced the number of species of the world's waterfowl left to photograph from 15 to 14 - there are 169 species in total.  This is the last Australian species that I did not have, the very unique Musk Duck - this is a male displaying his gular sack trying to impress the ladies.  They are very skittish and only shootable from a car in this location west of Melbourne.  I understand that there are other place in Australia where they are more approachable - I may have to try again in the future :)

Congratulations on whittling down the list to 14, EJ. Great detail on this one, and the gular sack adds a lot of interest.

Its wonderful how you're chipping away at your species goal! Well done! This is such a unique duck.
