Here is a classic example how low these owls fly...just above the ground, like a little missile.

D2Hs (MF) 500mm f/4 P ED IF + TC-16A (1.6X TC)
1/1000, ISO-1600, f/8.5 on tripod.

Great perspective, just above ground, and I like that part of one eye is visible, Ludo. Nice habitat as well.
