Turkey Vulture

This big beauty has setup his daily perch on the lower branches of one of our back yard trees, here in Kitchener, Ontario.

Shot taken with a Canon 5D4 with an EF500, on a Tripod

Superb shot Bill! I see Turkey Vultures from time the time flying high, but never perched like this. Like Dave mention, I am also interesting on what was bird focusing on...if that what it was.

A very nice shot of this vulture, Bill. The pose, with head down, provides an almost sinister feel to the image. Good detail, and I like the way you toned down the background highlights.

He was really just keeping an eye on me .... I think he was debating as to whether it was time to leave or not :)

He was really just keeping an eye on me .... I think he was debating as to whether it was time to leave or not :)

Bill, Did you photograph the Vulture in Canada? Looking at their range map, you're at the northern part of their breeding range. Didn't know that they went that far north. Nice image!

Yes this bird was photographed in my back yard in Kitchener, SW Ontario
