South Island pied oystercatcher amongst a flock of variable oystercatchers. Fewer birds remain in coastal areas, most of the population moving to inland farmland to breed.

Zig, thanks for this view of this bird flock in flight in New Zealand. I like where the odd man is placed within the frame.
